Christopher Williams

Christopher Williams, born Christopher Troy Williams on August 22, 1967, is an American R&B and soul singer and actor. Rising to prominence in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Williams became known for his smooth vocals and charismatic stage presence. His debut album, “Adventures in Paradise” (1989), featured the hit single “Promises, Promises,” which helped establish Williams as a notable figure in the R&B music scene. He continued to release music throughout the ’90s, contributing to the soundtracks of films like “New Jack City.” In addition to his music career, Christopher Williams ventured into acting, appearing in films such as “New Jack City” and “Gunmen.” While his musical output has been intermittent, his impact on the R&B genre, particularly during the New Jack Swing era, has earned him a place in the annals of soul and contemporary R&B.
