    The Isley Brothers are an American musical group formed in Cincinnati, Ohio, in the 1950s. The group has had a remarkable and enduring career spanning multiple decades, earning them a prominent place in various music genres, including R&B, soul, funk, and rock. The original members were brothers O’Kelly Isley Jr., Rudolph Isley, and Ronald Isley. The Isley Brothers achieved early success with hits like “Shout” in the late 1950s. Over the years, the lineup evolved, and younger brothers Ernie Isley and Marvin Isley, along with in-law Chris Jasper, joined the group. In the 1970s, they became pioneers of funk and released influential albums such as “3+3.”Notable songs by The Isley Brothers include “It’s Your Thing,” “Harvest for the World,” and “Between the Sheets.” They also reinvented themselves in the 1980s with chart-topping hits like “Contagious.”The group’s versatility and ability to adapt to changing musical trends have contributed to their enduring legacy in the music industry.
